Mommy For A Night

Last night I was able to be a mommy....but only for the night. ;-)

My parents and I babysat Lena and she spent the night..in my room It was really weird getting up at 5 to pat her back to make her go back to sleep. And patting and patting...and patting. :-) At 5:30 I thought it was time for a little warm milk....it worked...until 6. She then grabbed up her toy cow and stood up in her pack and play...ready to come into bed with me. Which she did until 8:30. She read and watched a DVD in my bed...while I tried to grab a few more minutes of ZZZ. :-) I don't know...I think I still want a few more years before motherhood. :-) All in all she was a little angel though! I call this "practical mommy training for the future. " Don't you agree?!!!

In other news...I thought it was time for a new look. Spring is here and the black looked kind of wintry. I am loving this weather. Today it is suppose to be 84! I'm thrilled. :-) Here are a few pictures of this beautiful tree in the front of our house. It is in full bloom...beautiful pink blossoms! I had a few difficulties capturing the full beauty because of the sun glare.

Happy Spring!

Yes, it was fun having Lena. And much easier on Nanna because I got to sleep until 7:30! It was a happy time for us all.
Thanks for the picture of that tree. It's one of the favorite spots in the neighborhood for the robins to nest, but unfortunately for me, also a favorite spot for tent caterpillars! But fortunately, your brave dad usually will burn the tent with his torch gun, for my sake.
Love, mama

What fun! And yes, the perfect kind of training for your future motherhood! The pictures of Lena are so cute.

And that tree-- wow! Spring is so beautiful, isn't it?

I love your new background here, too!

Your background is beautiful Neesie! I can't wait for my computer to be fixed so I can fool around with my blog more. :( I love the pictures of Lena- sounds like you had an eventful night! Very pretty tree too. :)

Well done with your first 'Mommy night'! I've only had partial mommy nights, usually when I slept over! One time I had watched Cor and Micah (Elise's boys) for so long that the night they went home I was exhausted, I got into bed and had only closed my eyes for a few minutes when I "thought"I heard Micah say "Bethany" I replied with a half groan half response...Waking myself up! Hope that doesn't happen to you!
Love to you!

This is my first visit to your blog. I have really enjoyed it and It was not a surprise knowing how much I love your Mom's and older sister's blogs. Your is no different. It is beautiful. You seem like a really fine young lady and I am so pleased to meet you. Have a great day. I wish I could see the tree that is all pink in person.

I think you made a great "mommy for the night." connie from Texas
